Offices, Lecture Rooms, and Stores Project
Leeds University Officers Training Corps & Medics Building for Reserve Forces and Cadet Association.
Below you will see one of our recent modular build projects, for the Reserve Forces and Cadet Association, completed within 16 weeks from signing off the 'Plan and Elevation' drawings.
This project involved installing new foundations and services while the seven 9m x 3m modular units were under construction in the manufacturer’s factory.
After the installation of the modules, which only took one day, work began on fitting the perimeter skirting, fascia boards, rain water goods, and the final connections to the external services. While internal works were underway to fit the folding partition, carpet tiles and vertical blinds to the windows (situated in each of the lecture rooms, offices and servery areas) work began on the installation of the concrete & brick ramp and steps. This enabled the programme of works to be successfully completed within a 16 week programme. The Project Management Team at Arch Lodge Consultancy had ownership of the project through to completion and handover to the client.
Lecture Rooms (above)
This internal photograph of the lecture rooms showing the 45db rated folding partition. This can be folded away to leave a single large open-plan lecture room.
Offices (above)
The photograph is taken in a corner of one of the two identical offices
incorporated within the building and shows the low level 6 compartment
trunking. This is installed complete with sufficient IT data nodes, telephone
points, and double power sockets to accommodate each person working within
this area. Our client also requested that the internal walls be fitted
with dado chair rails (shown in the photo) for protection against damage.
Stores (above)
The Stores area shown in the above photograph was fitted with a 7kn floor loading to take account of excess weight requirements. Double Steel Entrance doors were fitted for durability and security . ALC requested the fitting of a non-slip vinyl floor covering to achieve a neat and professional finish that our client found very pleasing.
