Project Management from Inception to Completion
The construction industry is one of the most challenging to work in. The combination of potential health and safety riska and adverse environmental impact is a powerful one. Add to this is the ever –changing legislative regime. However working with professional designers, contractors and knowledgeable people from the outset can help control health and safety.
The new role of CDM Co-ordinator has been created by CDM 2007. It is a wider role than that of the planning supervisor which it replaces, and may be summed up as ‘The client’s advisor in matters relating to construction health and safety'. The role involves advising and assisting the client in undertaking the measures needed to comply with CDM 2007.
The main purpose is to help the clients to carry out their duties. To co-ordinate the health and safety aspect of the design work and to prepare the health and safety file.
